Plastic
Surgery
Since employing TPI for publicity and newsletter design several
years ago, two prominent surgeons in Beverly Hills continue to serve
as media resources on a local and international level to educate the
public on the latest techniques in facial plastic surgery. By communicating
their expertise in procedures such as hair replacement and 'tired-eyes'
surgery, the doctors have been interviewed on E! Entertainment Television,
20/20, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Extra!, and Sally
Jesse Raphael. They have also recently appeared in widely-read print
media platforms such as Fitness, Mirabella, Woman's Own, The Robb
Report and The Los Angeles Times. Their consumer book has been seen
over the years in newspapers, hair/salon trade journals, and national
magazines.
Dermatology
Product Launch: A UCLA dermatologist developed a new stretch
mark cream and hired TPI to inform the media of the results of his double-blind,
clinical study. TPI's media relations team communicated the product's
effectiveness by way of news releases, product samples, and direct media
contact. Through an aggressive PR effort, TPI secured national media
exposure in over 50 media outlets, including Cosmopolitan, Self,
and American Woman, with broadcast interviews secured on Lifetime
Television, Extra!, ABC, and NBC.
Dentistry
Converting a patient's age-old fears seemed a daunting task
for a leading laser dentistry client in Orange County, California. Since
1996, TPI's ongoing effort to promote functional, patient-friendly alternatives
to the drill, shots, and metallic-fillings has led to numerous appearances
on nationally-televised programs such as Donahue, Extra!, Good Morning
America, CNBC and Lifetime Television. Interviews on new
dental techniques have led to a healthy diet of articles in print media
outlets such as Health Magazine, Fitness Magazine, Saturday Evening
Post, and Healthy Living.
Obstetrics/Gynecology
As one of the nation's top laparoscopic surgeons, an OB/GYN
in Santa Barbara, California has invested in TPI to promote his educational
seminars and inform women of less-invasive alternatives to hysterectomy
surgery on a local and national level. Upon initiating a dedicated PR
campaign, TPI secured substantial news coverage of the latest surgical
techniques and technology in the Santa Barbara News Press, KEYT-
TV (ABC), KSBY-TV (NBC), KCOY (CBS), KABC-TV in Los Angeles, and
ZDTV national cable network.
Fitness
In the midst of the fitness publicity craze, TPI secured a
substantial amount of media coverage of their own with the introduction
of "Kick Butt," an aerobic kick boxing workout video featuring
soap opera star Kristoff St. John of The Young and the Restless. The
"Kick Butt" video, produced by TPI client Fitness Unlimited,
was seen and read by millions of people on Regis & Kathie Lee,
Fit TV, KABC-TV, the Los Angeles Times, Essence, Fit Magazine,
and Soap Opera Digest. As a result, the video was proudly listed
as #1 on Billboard's list of popular Health/Fitness Videos.
