Proper Captilization
Any
Word, All Words, Exact Phrase
Select "Any Word"
to request our search engine to return documents containing any or
all of the individual search clues entered. The clue public relations
will return documents found with the word public, the word
relations, the phrase public relations, or any combination
of the three.
Select "All the Words" if you wish to find pages containing
all of the words in your clue, but not necessarily in the order entered.
If you request public relations with this option checked, you
will be shown all pages which contain both the words public
and the word relations (or the phrase public relations),
but not a page which contained only the word public or only
the word relations.
Select "Exact Phrase" if you wish to find your search clue
words side by side in a document, exactly as entered. In this case,
the clue public relations would yield only results for pages
which contain the precise phrase public relations.
Sound-Alike Matching
Use "Sound-Alike Matching"
if you would like our search engine to find words which precisely
match your clue and also find words with similar spelling.
Remove the checkmark from
Sound-Alike Matching if you wish to see only results which precisely
match the spelling of your search clue.
Use
Wildcards
Wildcard searches can expand
the number of matches for a particular request. The * character is
used as the wildcard character. For instance, searching for wh* will
find the words what, why, when, whether, and any other word that starts
with wh. Searching for *her* will find the words here, whether, together,
gathering, and any other word that contains her anywhere in the word.
Check
Spelling
Make sure your search clues
are spelled correctly. Our search engine will attempt to find words
that sound similar to your search clues but it is always best to try
to spell the clues correctly.
